My entire career has been spend designing, building and installing computer systems.

Academic qualifications include an MSc (Hons) in Physics. Positions held (prior to starting methods: Software in 1990) include Research Scientist, Microprocessor Systems Designer and Senior Systems Programmer.

I’ve written computer programs in many languages (C/C++, Delphi, VB/VBA, Python, Ruby, assembler, UNIX shell) and have installed and administered a diverse range of hardware platforms and operating systems including minicomputers, Sun Workstations (Solaris), PC’s (MSDOS, CP/M, Linux, FreeBSD, Microsoft Windows) and Macintosh’s.

I’ve written articles for a number of publications including: IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, New Zealand INTERFACE and Bits & Bytes magazine.
